NUC Grants Provisional Licences to 20 Newly Approved Private Universities

 

National Universities Commission (NUC) Has Granted Provisional Licenses to the Twenty (20) Newly Approved Private Universities in Nigeria.

The National Universities Commission (NUC), has granted provisional licenses to the 20 newly established private universities that were approved by the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in Abuja.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, represented by the Minister of State, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba handed over the licenses to the operators of the universities in Abuja, on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

The minister tasked the newly approved universities to operate by the laid down standards, stating that the approval for the establishment of the universities was a testimony of the continued partnership of the Federal Government with the private sector.
