This is to inform all candidates who are interested in the registering for the 2022 JAMB UTME and Direct Entry that they can now get or generate their 10-digit using their mobile phones via by dialing a unique JAMB USSD Code which was newly created by the board.
Steps on How to Generate 2022 JAMB UTME & DE 10-Digit Profile Code via USSD [NEW METHOD].
Prior to the earlier method of procuring or generating the 2022 UTME & DE whereby Candidates sends his/her National Identification Number (NIN) by text (SMS) to 55019 OR 66019 from his/her personal GSM number. E.g. write the word "NIN" then space and adding their 11 digit NIN Number and sending to 55019 OR 66019 in this format (NIN 00123456789), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) inorder to simplify the registration process has launched a new code: *55019 OR 66019*1*NIN#.
Candidates can now pick up their mobile phone and dial *55019*1*NIN (National Identification Number) # OR 66019*1*NIN (National Identification Number) # and send to generate their 10-Digit unique profile code.
NB: After procuring your JAMB 10-Digit profile code you have to proceed to purchase your JAMB e-PIN online using your Mobile phone.
The introduction of the new USSD code was part of measures JAMB has put in place to address some challenges experienced by candidates while registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB has confirmed that the board was connecting effectively with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) on the registration process and have had not much to worry about.
