JAMB Introduces New Text Books For Literature-In-English, Other Language Subjects Ahead Of 2022 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has introduced new textbooks for candidates sitting for language subjects ahead of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This affects Literature- in-English as well as four other language subjects including Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and Arabic.
The decision was announced by JAMB through its weekly bulletin issued via its website on Monday, 6th December 2021.
The language subjects and the newly introduced pieces of literature are:
Arabic: The Nigerian Arabic Poems; a case study between the old and the new, by Abdulwahab Dan Ladi Shith.
Diwaanur Riyardh: A collection of Arabic Poems, by Dr. Isah Alabi Abubakar
The Prospect Of Arabic Language in Nigeria, by Murtadh Badamasi
A Selection of Pulpit Counseling, by Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory
Why The Anger On Us. A literature text , by Muhammad Salisu Mai Ango
The perfection/Adornment of Pages; A book of poems, by Abdullahi Bin Fodio.
Hausa: Prose (zube) Turmin Danya
Poetry (waka) Wakokin Hausa
Drama (wasan kwaikwayo) Abin Da Kamar Wuya.

All the changes would take effect from the 2022 UTME, JAMB stated.
Earlier, Naija News reported that students seeking admission into Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Educations, and other higher institutions will now have two more subjects to sit for in the yearly Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The development was contained in an address in Abuja on Saturday, December 4 by the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.
According to Oloyede, the admission seekers would now have the inclusion of Physical Health Education and Computer Science in their subject choices during the UTME.
